Naked Bunny!

The beginning of this model was the armature, made from wire and foam with a wooden base. I mounted him on a wooden stand for the reason that he was only going to be shot from the waist up, so there was no need for me to make legs. This also made it easier for me to secure him to the set during animation to prevent him from moving.
All parts of the armature are moveable, arms, ears, spine, neck and hands.

From this the character was built up using grey plasticine and detail added with milliput (air drying clay).

What A Gobshite!

To make this guy talk, he has 10 different slot in mouths that represent different letters and sounds. Shown below....

All these mouths are different in shape and tongue position eg. the LTH mouth has the tongue behind the teeth, to create the right shape for that sound. All that's left to do after that is to do the dope sheeting for the lip sync and match the mouths up to the syllables, and as if my magic he speaks!

PNG's From The Arm Chair!

So i have finished the last two scenes, just today. So glad, no more hot cupboard, i can finally return to a room that actually has people in it.

As before below are two snap shots of the two final scenes, with props and all. All that needs to be done now is to put the scenes together, with the title sequence and clapper boards.

'Scarface' Scene 1

'Say hello to my little friend.'

'Taxi Driver' Scene 2

'You talkin to me, well i'm the only one here.'

J-Pegs From The Cupboard.

I started to animate Hank last week and have so far completed one and a half scenes, which comes to around 9/10 seconds, not alot but it feels that i have been working on it forever. You may wonder about the title, this is because i am doing all the animation in a room at uni that was formally being used as a cupboard, know my cupboard.

So the pictures below are two snap shots from the two scenes, just random frames i have picked from the animation. Feeling really pleased at how it has turned out so far, particularly the lighting and characters shadow.

'Pulp Fiction' Scene 3

'Hamburgers. The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.'

'Goodfellas' Scene 4

'As far back as i can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster'

Each scene has different props, connected to the film that features and the particular quote . The 'Pulp Fiction' scene has a shirt and tie and a hamburger (both made from milliput), the 'Goodfellas' scene has a bow tie and cigar (plasticine), the 'Scarface' scene has a gun and the 'Taxi Driver' scene had a mirror (milliput).

Hanks Big Break!

This guy that is the subject of my current animation. His name is Hank and he has a very 70's porn star tash. However he has a passion for gangster films and dreams of one day staring in one. To accomplish his dreams he takes part in four auditions but unfortunately doesn't do very well ;( ahhhh poor Hank! He features in 4 auditions reciting lines from the films, these include Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver and Scarface.

Here is the guy himself, he has been made from plasticine with a wire and foam armature. Sections of him like his eye lids, eye brows and tash are all made from milliput (air drying clay).

Hank also has 10 changeable mouths that will be used for the lip sync in the animation. These represent different sounds and letters, so that they form the different mouth movements for speech.
